The 26mm thick Groovetracer acrylic platter carries more mass than any other acrylic platter available on the market today for the Rega turntable.
It is important to note that acrylic weighs only half as much as glass which means it was necessary to manufacture our platter from 28mm thick acrylic.
The Groovetracer™ counterweight is designed to fit all Rega tonearms and tonearms with 1/2" (12.7mm) endstub. There are 2 standard weights available, 130 gram & 150 gram.
For cartridges weighing less than 8 grams, we recommend the 130 gram counterweight.
The Groovetracer™ Subplatter consists of 3 separate components. The hub is machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum and the axle and record spindle are machined from Stainless Steel. The Standard version incorporates 3 raised surfaces machined into the hub. The Deluxe version utilizes 3 interchangeable contacts (Delrin or Brass) for even greater versatility and performance.
