The 26mm thick Groovetracer acrylic platter carries more mass than any other acrylic platter available on the market today for the Rega turntable.
It is important to note that acrylic weighs only half as much as glass which means it was necessary to manufacture our platter from 28mm thick acrylic.
The Groovetracer counterweight is designed to fit all Rega tonearms and tonearms with 1/2" (12.7mm) endstub.
There are three counterweight models available, 110 gram, 130 gram & 150 gram.
Choose between Silver or Black anodized finish to match the color of your tonearm.
There are three different subplatter models now being offered by
Groovetracer. Each model is distinguished from the other by at least one important feature. They are all built utilizing the finest materials, machined using the same tight tolerances, and assembled with the greatest care in order to provide an increased level of performance.
Delrin® is considered the material of choice for record platters by many of today’s high end turntable manufacturers. There are several reasons for this but the primary consideration is that it shares many of the same properties of the vinyl record. It also carries more mass than the majority of high performance thermoplastics available which is important in terms of maintaining speed stability.
